It started with my horses.
I have always believed that what you love is worth fighting for. A few years ago, when the City tried to make it impossible for me to properly run my ranch — threatening the care of my beloved horses with bureaucratic overreach and outrageous fees designed to force me out — there was no choice but to fight back and to win.
That experience taught me that you absolutely CAN fight City Hall and come out victorious. However, this is only possible if you are genuinely willing to dedicate time and effort to thoroughly research and uncover all the relevant facts. It requires a deep commitment to understanding the details and nuances involved, and then, not be afraid to reveal them.
That small victory was just the beginning. I launched a website covering local politics in the community. I attended every City Council and Planning Commission meeting, connected with community leaders, dug into local and state zoning codes, and talked with the people that were being bullied by City Hall. The mission was simple — uncover the truth behind the closed-door decisions that were affecting real people.
It worked. By doing the research and shining a light on it, we were able to positively influence decisions that would have been devastating to our community. Developer lobbying was exposed. Facts replaced spin. Citizens had a voice.
That experience confirmed what fighting for my ranch had already taught me — the truth, when uncovered and spoken clearly, has real power.
Why Now?
What happened in one city is now happening everywhere. The issues are bigger, the stakes are higher, and the noise is louder and more alarming than ever. Mainstream media — both left and right — too often reports only the information that confirms their own interests, giving us short sound bites that leave out relevant pieces of the puzzle. We are left to sort through the spin ourselves. The stakes have never been higher, and we can no longer be silent.
